曾經有一個人，他家的羊圈破了一個洞，結果羊經常丟失。鄰居勸他把羊圈修修，但他覺得羊會自己回家，所以沒有採納鄰居的建議。後來，他的羊又丟了一隻，他很後悔沒有聽從鄰居的勸告，於是趕緊把羊圈修好了。從此，他的羊再也沒有丟失過。
英文版： A man had a sheepfold with a hole in it, and his sheep kept getting lost. His neighbors advised him to repair the sheepfold, but he didn't take their advice because he thought his sheep would come home on their own. Later, another one of his sheep got lost, and he regretted not listening to his neighbors' advice. So he quickly repaired the sheepfold. From then on, his sheep never got lost again.
這個故事告訴我們，當出現問題時，及時採取措施可以避免更大的損失。不要等到問題變得無法挽回時才後悔當初沒有及時採取措施。
