英文小故事：The Little Match Girl
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved to play in the street with matches. One cold winter night, she was playing with matches when she accidentally dropped a few matches on the ground. She tried to pick them up, but it was too cold and she was too cold to continue playing. So she decided to go home.
As she walked along the street, she noticed a small house with a lit fireplace. She decided to light a fire and warm up, so she took out her matches and tried to light a fire. But the matches kept going out in the cold air. She tried again and again, but she couldn't make it work.
Then, as she was walking away, she saw a group of people coming towards her. They were carrying something that was blazing brightly. When they got closer, she realized that they were carrying a firewood, and they were heading towards the small house with the lit fireplace.
She walked up to the house and saw that the fireplace was now blazing brightly. She knew that it was because of her matchsticks that they had managed to light the fire. She was happy and felt like she had made a difference in someone's life.
She was then noticed by the house owner who took her in and treated her as his own family member. She had finally found warmth and happiness in the world.
This story teaches us that we should always be kind to others and help them when they need it the most. It also teaches us that we should never give up hope and always try our best to make a difference in someone's life.
