英文小寓言故事:The Farmer and the Snake
Once upon a time, there was a farmer who lived on a farm. One day, he found a snake trying to crawl into his house. The farmer was afraid of snakes and tried to push it away. However, the snake refused to leave and kept trying to enter the house.
The farmer became angry and decided to teach the snake a lesson. He tied a rock to the snake's tail and threw it into a nearby river. He thought that he had taught the snake a valuable lesson and it would never try to enter his house again.
However, a few days later, the farmer found the snake again trying to crawl into his house. This time, he was even more angry and tried to push it away again. But the snake refused to leave and kept trying to enter the house.
The farmer realized that he had been fooled by the snake. He realized that his behavior had been cruel and that he should not be so quick to judge or treat animals unfairly.
From then on, the farmer changed his behavior towards animals and became more compassionate towards them. And that is why we should always be mindful of our actions towards animals and never treat them unfairly or cruelly.
This little story teaches us that we should always be mindful of our actions and how they affect others, especially those who are weaker or have less power than us. We should always strive to be kind and compassionate towards others, even when we are faced with challenges or difficulties.
