Startled, John turned around and saw a figure standing behind him. It was a tall, pale figure with dark eyes and long, dark hair. The figure smiled at him and said, "I am the spirit of the house. I have been waiting for someone to come and see me."
From that moment on, John was haunted by the spirit of the abandoned house. He woke up at night with nightmares about the figure and the strange symbols on the walls. He started hearing the tapping sound at night, and it would chase him throughout his dreams.
